GRUPO K is a company that designs, manufactures and markets commercial and industrial refrigeration equipment under the KOXKA brand. Established in 2015, it takes over the activity of a company in liquidation due to insolvency proceedings.
GRUPO K has set among its strategic objectives to achieve a differential positioning in relation to the competition in terms of energy efficiency, modularity and product customisation.
In 2015 summer, a few days after the start of its activity, the management of GRUPO K chooses Iniciativas Innovadoras as their strategic collaborator to identify and obtain public aid that could support the financing of the business project. This financial contribution has been crucial to the consolidation of GRUPO K's business project
What did we do?
We work with GRUPO K's management and team in order to know about its strategy, its products and its main objectives and projects. We identify available public funding lines that could support them in the development of new products (R&D) and their industrialisation (investment). We work together with the management team for the identification and selection of project ideas.
In these 5 years we have been in charge of the preparation and presentation of more than 10 applications for financial aid (CDTI, ENISA, REINDUS, Ayudas I+D Gobierno de Navarra, Ayudas a la Inversión Pymes Industriales Gobierno de Navarra, Ayudas Internacionalización, Ayudas Mejora Competitividad..)
We have provided a complete service supporting the company throughout the entire process until the effective collection of the aid: aid acceptance, presentation of guarantees, regulatory interpretation, consultations with aids managers, actions and deadlines modification, technical and economic justification, and attention to corrections, controls and visits.
Results
Iniciativas Innovadoras support over the last 5 years has allowed GRUPO K:
- Finance the development of most of its RDI activity, which has resulted in a new range of more sustainable and efficient refrigeration products, obtaining a more than €1.7 million of public support, as well as a significant tax deduction.
- Finance the investments for the industrialisation of the new products, obtaining a joint public support from the national and regional administrations of 5 M€.
- Obtain public subsidies for several of its internationalisation and competitive improvement activities.
